Hue - Playful Light
Inspired by the playful nature of light, “Hue” is a colourful and interactive candle holder. Various interlocking pieces can be slotted together to build different candle holding configurations. The chromatic pieces change colour depending on the direction of light refraction and viewing angle, creating object with movement; alive like a candle flame.
The combination of soft colours and transparent materials were inspired by designers such as Saerom Yoon and Sabine Marcelis. Through the interactive assembly, colours, and materials the design invokes a sense of play similar to the dancing flames of the candles.
Pieces are slotted together to build candle holders with multiple sizes and configurations
The sharp geometric shapes and lines are designed to contrast with the soft colours and warm light of the candle flame.
